Hey TypeRacers! We’re rolling out some great new features and updates that we think you’ll be really excited about. Let’s dive right in.

Customizable Typing Challenges Are Here! Curated Lists

We’re thrilled to unveil a game-changing feature: the ability to customize your typing challenges. This new addition allows you to select texts from various themes like anime and video games for your practice and custom racetracks when playing with friends.

What sets this feature apart is that it integrates seamlessly with the main TypeRacer universe (Default Mode). Unlike other universes where races and stats are isolated, our curated lists allows you to practice and play with your friends with texts of your choice without separating your stats. This means all your progress and stats while using this feature will be counted in the main ‘play’ universe. It’s currently in beta and available exclusively for our premium users currently.

These lists will be updated overtime, new ones will come so be sure to check back and see what’s new! We’re planning on using this feature for monthly typing challenges.

‘To The Moon’ Avatars Take Off

After a round of voting, ‘To The Moon’ emerged as the favorite theme for our new avatars. We’re happy to release this collection, featuring cool space-themed designs like rocket ships and UFOs. These avatars bring a new level of excitement to your typing experience.

Squashed Bugs & Changelog

We also took this opportunity to fix some annoying bugs we were able to squash pretty quicky, here is the changelog

• Fix: Clicking “Change Avatar” does not go the #avatar anchor point
• Fix: In ‘My Scores’ tab while logged out, Sign up link does not open Create Account prompt
• Fix: Avatar resets to null editing other fields on Profile
• Fix: Avatar notification continuously re-appearing every day
• Fix: Missing Features: Selected Scores & Download Race History Buttons in “My Scores
• Add: Avatar Vote: To The Moon Avatar Pack
• Add: Curated Lists Feature
